The enterprise, located in the city of Ludenscheid, employs 800 people and its production capacity has not decreased after the switch to solar panels.
The main product of the plant is electrical equipment, namely sockets and switches.
According to the management company ABB - Busch-Jaeger, the plant receives energy from sunlight via a system located above the parking lot. The plant's capacity can produce 1,100 MWh of electricity per year that is sufficient to satisfy the needs of 340 homes during the year. On sunny days, the plant's excess energy is fed back into the power system.
