More than 110 countries plan to become carbon-neutral by 2050: Japan, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and others. Europe can become the first climate-neutral continent.

For example, the Swedes have learned to recover 99% of waste: about 50% of waste is recycled, and the other 50% is converted into electricity and heat. Sweden plans to omit fossil fuels by 2040 and become a carbon-neutral country by 2045.

In 2020 the Swedish company IKEA invested € 200 million into renewable energy sources and forest regeneration. The company has invested $ 2.8 billion into the development of solar panels for the past 10 years. Moreover, IKEA does not sell alkaline batteries, and it has implemented services like «second-hand furniture" and furniture transfer to charity. The company plans to switch to renewable energy sources by 2030, as well as produce goods exclusively of recyclable materials.

Search giant Google plans to switch to carbon-free energy by 2030. Now Google is the first company that has neutralized the carbon trail left for 22 years.
