Ukraine adopted the law "On the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine"30.03.2021
The Bureau of Economic Security must come into operation no later than six months from the date of law adoption and it will receive the powers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Tax Service in the field of economic crimes.
What tasks will the newly created body complete?
- to eliminate the preconditions for organizing criminal schemes in the economic sphere, particularly through introducing amendments legal and regulatory acts;
- to reveal violations in the field of foreign aid receipt, as well as the violations impinging upon the functioning of the State;
- to find the economic risk areas through in-depth analysis of various data types, to assess the state economy threats and eliminate them.
