How does the Ukrainian economy feel?
How does the Ukrainian economy feel?14.05.2021According to the NBU, the Ukrainian economy shrank by 4.4% in 2020 as a result of the coronavirus crisis. Thanks to the sustainability of Ukrainian exports, Ukraine is gently overcoming the crisis. The goods that the country sells abroad remain in demand during the coronavirus pandemic, and their value remains high. The Ukrainian agricultural sector was almost unaffected by the crisis, and the metallurgists made a profit from large-scale infrastructure projects in other countries, including China.

The Ukrainian economy was also supported by the NBU's anti-crisis measures. The National Bank responded to the coronavirus crisis by adjourning stress tests of banks, postponing the introduction of capital buffers, including capital conservation, and systemic importance buffers. In 2021, banks were allowed not to extend individual signs of default to the loans to be restructured. This mitigation remains in force for physical debtors until April 30, 2021, and it will be valid for legal entities until May 31, 2021.
The National Bank of Ukraine predicts GDP in 2021-2023 to grow by about 4% annually.
