The cost of the sorting center project will amount to $50 mln. It will be the first sorting hub of this type built by the company for 42 years. At the moment, the project is at the stage of finding contractors for further construction through Prozorro service. Next, the foundation will be laid and construction will be done, and the contract with the contractor will include a warranty and activities aimed to support the hub operation. The investment agreement will be concluded with the preferred tenderer or the facility will be taken on a long-term lease with the purchase option.
The sorting center called “HUB_KyivEast” will be built under the European Investment Bank standards. The finished hub can be guaranteed to be used for at least 30 years, and it will be built of clearly specified materials. Ukrposhta announced its intentions to build an automated sorting hub in September 2020.
