Ukraine will spend UAH 4 billion to develop its helicopters07.05.2021These funds are a part of the state program’s budget aimed at the aircraft industry development in Ukraine. The program "Domestic Helicopters" is intended for the next 10 years. It includes developments and calculations required to create a 5-ton multi-purpose helicopter.
At the first stage, the program will attract UAH 350 million from the state budget; another UAH 214.5 million will be received from the enterprise’s funds. It should be noted that the amount provided for the helicopter development will make $ 20.3 million. This amount is too low to develop a helicopter of this type in the modern world. For example, in 2015, South Korea developed helicopter designs for military and civil aviation. The military helicopter design was estimated at $ 587 million, and the civil helicopter design was estimated at $ 316 million.
