The Cabinet of Ministers will allocate more than UAH 20 billion for the Ukrainian ports development21.04.2021Such investments will help to improve the port infrastructure capacity and increase the speed of sea freight handling. The port development strategy is planned until 2030, and the funds raised will be used for developing the seaports and their access roads.
The Ukrainian authorities are also preparing the following innovations:
- simplifying the cargo and vessels execution in ports according to the European standards;
- opening the inland waterways for the foreign vessels;
- creating the information exchange system on vessels movement;
- preparing «Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company» for the privatization;
- simplifying the freight service within the country and updating the cargo handling technology in the ports of Ukraine.
