The state can compensate a part of salary to an employee who cannot work due to quarantine restrictions. Such a program can be used as an alternative to «UAH 8,000 for individual entrepreneurs»: it did not start working last year due to some nuances and shortcomings.
How is it possible to improve the program for it to start working?
- to remove the restrictions of the maximum benefits amount equal to UAH 5,000;
- to improve the advertising campaign of the strategy, to aim it at spheres being mostly disadvantaged during the quarantine;
- to stint payments by time: for example, up to a few weeks while the region is in the «red» zone;
- to narrow the program to representatives of small and medium-sized businesses (up to 49 Classifiers of economic activities).
- Such a program will cost UAH 5.9 billion for 3 weeks if the whole country becomes a «red» zone.
